Ordering:
When placing an order, please refer to our Available Knives and Price List sections for available knives, options, and prices. To ensure you receive THE knife you desire, please be as specific as possible on your order form. For custom orders please try to include a sketch, picture, or internet link to a similar knife. We will calculate a price based on the scope of the job at that time. Change orders should be made in writing as soon as possible after placing your order. Changes can not be made after production on your knife commences.

Repair and Upgrade Work: Generally, repair and upgrade work turnaround time is relatively short. While we will not guarantee a completion or shipping date, we will make every effort to return your knife to you in a timely manner. To be most efficient, we usually schedule repair and upgrade work between knife orders.

Payment:
Down payments may be required depending on the type of knife ordered.You will be notified if a deposit is required and the amount due when your order is placed. Due to the necessity of ordering specialized materials, deposits will not be refunded on cancelled custom orders.

Payment in full is expected when your knife is complete and ready to ship. We will contact you, and payment is expected in a timely manner. Knives not paid for after 30 days from completion are subject to sale to the general public, and any deposits paid will not be refunded. Please be sure we have your updated contact information.

The following payment methods are accepted: Paypal, U.S. and Canadian Postal Money Orders, Checks from U.S. bank accounts (held until they clear), and cash.

Shipping and Insurance:
We ship through the US Postal Service or UPS, and each package will be insured for the full value of its contents. Shipping charges will be determined by us at the time of shipping. Weight, insured value, package size, and destination will deteremine the cost. Shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer, and must be paid prior to shipping.

Return Policy and Guarantee:
When you receive your Tanguay Custom Knife, if you are not fully satisfied with the workmanship, return it unsharpened, and unused, within three business days (postmarked) for repair or a complete refund of the purchase price. Return shipping to us shall include insurance for the sale price of the knife, and both are nonrefundable. Custom orders with nonstandard features are subject to a restocking fee of 20%.

Tanguay Custom Knives are made for use as a cutting tool. We will not honor returned knives that have been altered or have obviously been abused.

Your Tanguay Custom Knife is guaranteed for life against any defects in materials and workmanship. However, if your knife has been altered in any way, or damaged due to improper use such as prying, throwing, hammering, dropping onto a hard surface, or twisting the blade, this will void the warranty.

Please note: Natural handle materials such as leather, wood, horn, stag, etc. may shrink or expand due to humidity and temperature changes. This is a natural occurance, and does not constitute a defect.
